An Innovation Journey

Preface

We live in a fascinating technology climate. Something new is created every day. Open source, cloud, and the free operating system have provided unlimited means of production to creatives and entrepreneurs. Passionate individuals are changing how the world works with the abundant tools and platforms available.

These new ideas and enterprises are uprooting the established order in a wave of creative destruction. The monotony and inefficiency of grey cubicles and TPS reports are being challenged by automation and process improvements. Not that the old way is bad or anything; it's just so dull.

The Past

I come from a history of working in the innovation departments of some large older corporations. The teams I have worked on had mandates to bring new technological advancements and creativity to their respective organizations. Our aspirational implementations of cloud computing, automation, IoT, and modern software development were a substantial departure from the norm. In my selected settings, resistance to innovation hindered progress.

A systemic cultural resistance to the future is prevalent in many organizations. Adherence to this mindset is a relic of a time gone past. Failure to adapt and innovate will ultimately leave traditional industries vulnerable to new market participants. I am here to program software and lead people in a spirit of progress, excellence, and artisanship.

The Present

I love programming. It's fun, exciting, and challenging. However, I am not a programmer just because I enjoy it. The software products I create embody my passion for innovation and progression. With every endeavor, I aim to create value for society and contribute to a free and healthy web.

I am currently working on open-source contributions, tuning my FP skills, and leading a skilled team of engineers. Please reach out if you want to collaborate!
